1. What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that straightens teeth without wires or brackets. Invisalign is a series of clear, custom-made aligners that cover your teeth. The aligners gently shift and move your teeth into the proper position over time.
4 key features of Invisalign:
- Use FDA approved material
- Customized, removable, easy to maintain
- Light-weight, virtually invisible
- Use ClinCheck software to predict your result
2. What are the differences between Invisalign and traditional braces?
There are numerous benefits to wearing Invisalign for you to consider, including:
Aesthetics
One of the biggest reasons you may prefer Invisalign is that you do not want the appearance of metal in your mouth. Especially if you are an adult who does not want to look like a teenager again. The American Association of Orthodontists has recorded several patients over the age of 18 seeking orthodontic treatment via Invisalign.
Removable
You can remove your Invisalign at any time. This allows you to eat and drink whatever you want. Invisalign also lessens the time to clean your teeth afterward.
Comfort
Traditional brackets and wires are most often known to cause discomfort and tension to reposition the teeth. On the other hand, Invisalign feels more like the texture of your actual teeth. It also decreases the soreness and scraping against your tongue, cheek, or gums.
Fewer visits to the office
Traditional braces require you to get your wires tightened about every six weeks. The average amount of time for braces is between 1 and 3 years. That’s a lot of appointments. With Invisalign, on average, it takes less than 2 years; therefore, Invisalign saves you a lot of visits to the dentist.
No Repairs Required
Sometimes a bracket or wire may become loose with traditional braces, which means yet another orthodontist visit. Fortunately, with Invisalign, you can avoid those emergency visits to the dental office.
3. Is Invisalign suitable for everyone?
Dental issues vary for each person. Some of the alignment problems that can be corrected by Invisalign include:
- Crowded Teeth
- Crossbite
- Gap Teeth
- Misaligned Teeth
- Open bite
- Overbite
- Underbite
Who is a candidate for Invisalign depends on many factors, but most people would benefit from the use of Invisalign treatment, including children, adolescents, and adults.

4. Invisalign treatment at Elite Dental
Knowing what to expect when you choose to have Invisalign will help you to decide if it’s the right route for you. In just six steps, here is how Elite Dental helps you!
Step 1: Your initial appointment
At your first appointment, your dentist will examine your mouth and teeth. If you are a candidate for Invisalign, you will discuss treatment protocol and estimated treatment length.
1. Why should you choose the right orthodontist? Orthodontics is a dental technique used to adjust the alignment of misaligned or crooked teeth, overbites, or underbites, returning them to their proper positions to improve the function of the jaw and teeth, as well as enhance facial aesthetics. The orthodontic process…
Step 2: Molding process
The next step is the digital molding process. Digital scans, photographs, and X-rays create an accurate model of your mouth and teeth. These are sent to the Invisalign laboratory for your custom aligner trays to be created.
Step 3: Treatment plan with Clincheck
Creating treatment plans and setting goals: Clincheck is a 3D animated treatment plan. Clincheck allows you to visualize your treatment process. The system also gives you answers to questions, including how many aligners your treatment plan consists of, how long your treatment time will be, how your teeth transform, and what your teeth will look like at the end of your treatment.
Step 4: Tray manufacturing
If you approve the Clincheck treatment plan, the doctor will give Align company permission to manufacture the trays. Trays that are completely personalized for you.
Step 5: Fitting your first tray
After 3-4 weeks, once your Invisalign trays are ready, it is now time for you to visit your dental office again. Your dentist may fit small attachments on your teeth to help the trays stay in place. After that, your dentist will check if your aligners fit. You will also receive advice on how to use and maintain your Invisalign correctly. Then, you’re ready to go!
Step 6: Follow-up appointments
Unlike metal braces, you won’t need to return for regular appointments with Invisalign. Instead, you can return every 4-6 weeks to check your progress and pick up new trays if necessary.
Step 7: Maintain your new smile
Once you complete your last set of trays, you are done! Retainers are often recommended to help you protect your new smile.
5. How much will Invisalign cost?

- The severity of your dental condition

7. Q&A about Invisalign Orthodontics
Here are some frequently asked questions about Invisalign braces:
1. How long should I wear my Invisalign aligners in a day?
The orthodontist calculated each aligner to move the teeth. Because the next tray will be different from the previous one, you must wear it for the specified amount of time in order for the teeth to move properly. Wearing the tray for 20-22 hours a day is recommended for maximum effectiveness. Furthermore, because the entire Invisalign aligner system is manufactured only once, you must avoid losing the aligners to help the Invisalign braces journey go smoothly, on time, and save money. If you have unfortunately lost your tray, you must immediately contact Elite Dental for instructions on how to proceed.
2. Will Invisalign trays have an effect on pronunciation?
Because the tray structure of Invisalign clear braces is so compact, they have little effect on speech and pronunciation. When you first put on the aligners, the aligners hug your teeth, applying force to the teeth to move them, so it will feel a little uncomfortable at first, and when you talk, there will be an object in your mouth that will make you speak a little slurred. However, the discomfort will vanish in a matter of days, approximately 4 – 7 days. You’ll be back to normal in no time.
3. Why are there protrusions on one of my Invisalign aligners?
Do not be concerned if you notice ridges or protrusions on your Invisalign braces. Because these are the spaces where the aligners grip tightly with the “Attachments” – SmartForce® spacers that are attached to the teeth.
4. Because Invisalign uses the same provider, the braces should be the same everywhere, right?
The answer is NO. Because it is the orthodontist who is in charge of and decides on the final treatment outcomes. The orthodontist’s plan is used to create the Invisalign aligners. As a result, the difference between Invisalign braces and traditional braces is in the orthodontist’s knowledge and experience, not in the tray material.
